In July, the mental health liaison team (MHLT) raised £100 with a 10 mile treasure hunt across Barnsley town centre.
Wellbeing champions Tracey and Charlotte organised the hunt to boost staff wellbeing and asked participants for a donation for EyUp! to take part. A group of 16 took part in the event and were split into three teams to see who could complete the activity the quickest.
Vicky Davies, team manager, liaison service commented “Everybody had a great time and each team worked well together to crack the codes and clues along the way.
“We chose EyUp! to raise money for as a token of our appreciation for the great work that they do.”
To support staff wellbeing, the team have also set up a wellbeing board in the office which includes positive statements and activities for the team to engage with including a plank challenge and sunflower competition.
The mental health liaison team provides diagnosis, support and information to people who are in a general hospital (in accident and emergency or as an inpatient) and experiencing problems with their mental health. The team asses up to 260 patients of all ages each month.
