Ethical income statement
EyUp! has an ethical and social responsibility in relation to the income it receives either through fundraising, sponsorship, lottery or any other method. This statement sets out EyUp! approach which follows the Trust values of being open honest and transparent.
Supporters
EyUp! respects the rights of its supporters to clear, truthful information on the activities of EyUp!, to openly report how we spend donated monies and to manage donors’ information responsibly.
We will comply with the Charity Commission, UK law and the Fundraising Regulator in every respect, including those regarding openness and honesty with our supporters and members of the public.
We will respect the privacy and contact preferences of all donors. We will respond promptly to requests to cease contacts or complaints and act as best we can to address their causes.
Refusals
We abide by the law which requires us, in deciding whether to accept or refuse a donation, to consider which action is in the charity’s best overall interest.
We will not undertake business with companies or individuals who participate in activities which could cause detriment to the charity’s reputation.
The responsibility of the judgment on whether EyUp! should refuse a donation lays first with the fundraising manager, charitable funds committee and ultimately the Corporate Trustee.
Use of donations
If supporters wish to make a donation to a specific ward or team, they may make a restricted donation by providing written instructions to this effect with their donation. This will be honoured and every effort made to respect these wishes.
Lottery
EyUp! runs a public lottery under a small societies lottery license. EyUp! restricts the number of chances available per person per month to ten chances.
