EyUp! awarded £300 to the North Kirklees insight team to fund different activities for service users
The insight team provide pyscho-social interventions for service users as an alternative to home visits and formal interventions.
The team made the most out of using two for one discount codes to open up activities to a larger group of people. Activities included a trip to Adrenaline International, Xscape Castleford and a cinema trip. These activities were an opportunity for staff to spend time with service users one on one and build a relationship with them to help them engage with future activities.
Overall, the activities were received positively. Service users were excited to have the chance to visit somewhere they had never had opportunity to visit before. Following the success of these activities and the increased engagement from the group, the team are hoping to expand the projects in the future.

“These groups are providing a platform for people to grow in their own community by accessing places they would not dream of attending due to their mental health.”
