Calderdale rehab and recovery service were awarded over £600 to create a calm and relaxing space to help their service users’ recovery.

This dedicated space in Lyndhurst Unit allows service users to take time away in a quiet place and find calm during their weekly relaxation sessions and meetings with staff or psychologists. Having a calm environment has enhanced the effectiveness of these sessions, promoting better mental health and overall wellbeing.

Rebecca Moorhouse, occupational therapist, Lyndhurst Unit said “One of our most popular weekly activities is relaxation but we were lacking a suitable space to hold these sessions.

“The room has become a valuable space for service users who need a calm and quiet environment. It’s great that we now have somewhere to help create calm for our service users’.”
