Final recommendation

We recommend that all riders ensure that their bikes are mechanically sound and safe to ride, and to complete a few checks in advance of the ride date. Have a look at this guide by Bikeradar: https://www.bikeradar.com/advice/workshop/how-to-safety-check-your-bike/ We also recommend that on the day of the ride you check the basics again, and to pack some essentials: - a spare inner tube and pump - a multi tool - energy bars or similar - hydration Also dress appropriately for the conditions - a pair of padded cycling shorts are recommended and, even if the weather looks good, carrying a lightweight packable waterproof jacket can help keep you warm and dry if it starts to rain. And of course - wear a helmet!
