Creative Minds
Creative Minds was launched in 2011 and is integrating creativity and the arts into mainstream health and wellbeing practice. They deliver and run projects for local people, to develop individuals’ and communities’ mental, physical and psychological wellbeing. Our approach towards creative activities, sports and hobbies is developed to:
- Boost confidence and self-esteem by providing opportunities to discover new, exciting activities and experiences
- Develop social skills and promote social integration by connecting you with like-minded people
- Create a sense of purpose by creating communities around shared passions
- Improve quality of life by making new friends at events and activities hosted by us and our partners

Mental Health Museum
The Mental Health Museum is based at Fieldhead Hospital in Wakefield.
Discover and explore the history of mental health care from the early 19th Century to the present day with the remarkable collection of objects and stories. The museum is also a space for broader debates around mental health care history, to promote wellbeing, combat mental health stigma, and be active in social justice.
They work together with people who access mental health services, carers, friends and family, staff and our visitors to explore mental health histories and challenge beliefs and perspectives.
Spirit in Mind
Incorporated as a charity in 2018, Spirit in Mind is an innovative project that brings together community-based spiritual organisations in collaboration with the Trust.
Bringing together the values, strengths and experiences of local faith and spiritual communities with those of the Trust enables a holistic approach to health support. This approach recognises the importance of spirituality in supporting mental health and overall wellbeing.
Working together, sharing different skills and expertise will enable the Trust and Spirit in Mind partners to respond more effectively to local health needs.
